About Us – NSCRD | Nigerian Society for Chiropractic Research and Development

Our Story

Our mission is to elevate chiropractic practice through innovative research and education.

The Nigeria Society for Chiropractic Research and Development (NSCRD) was established in 2022, to promote research activities in chiropractic and to serve as the repository of chiropractic data in Nigeria and related matters. It is the first distinct corporate body with focus on research activities in chiropractic, in the history of Nigeria. The Board of the NSCRD was inaugurated in April 2022 with the appointment of a Chairman.

As part its statutory mandate, NSCRD is purposed to engage in strategic partnerships with all relevant institutions; to promote research activities in chiropractic in Nigeria, develop and effectively implement and coordinate targeted programs and services to meet these needs. The primary objective is to improve and to serve as the repository of chiropractic data in Nigeria and related matters.

Our Goal

To develop the capacity of GP/Physician, equipping them with the necessary professional expertise to effectively provide Chiropractic Care, first as interns alongside qualified Doctors of Chiropractic (DC)in Nigerian Society for Chiropractic Research and Development (NSCRD) Clinics nationwide.

Our Background

The program aims to train and certify Physicians/Basic and Allied Medical practitioners as Clinical Chiropractic Associates (CCA) and; Manual therapists as Chiropractic Manual Therapists under the NSCRD framework

Program Details

The program consists of two (2)levels and three strata:

Level 1 – CCA (Clinical Chiropractic Associates):
. Stratum 1: Physicians
. Stratum 2: Basic and Allied Medical Practitioners
Level 2 – CMT (Chiropractic Manual Therapists):

. Stratum 3: O-level result holders

Course Duration:
a. Stratum 1: 9 months.
b. Stratum 2: 12 months
c. Stratum 3: 6 months

Three (3) Semesters.

Practical/Laboratory
Physical-weekends.(NSCRD Clinic[prototype] in Abuja)

Internship
Chiropractic Internship is mandatory for graduate Chiropractic students who must fulfill their weekly study hours before qualifying for practical sessions.

Interns are required to pay at least 50% of the tuition before the program starts, with the remainder due before the final assessments.

Licenses and certifications
Awarded after successful completion examination and practical assessments.

Awardee qualify as interns to receive further training at NSCRD Clinics and to work as NSCRD staff upon completion of the training.

Tuition
N1,500,000 (One million five hundred thousand naira) only

All fees are non-refundable.
