General Anatomy

About Course

General Anatomy forms the foundational cornerstone of chiropractic education and practice. As chiropractors, our focus is on the structure and function of the human body — particularly the spine, nervous system, and musculoskeletal framework — to support natural healing and optimal health.

This course introduces students to the fundamental anatomical systems, tissues, and structures that compose the human body. From the cellular level to integrated organ systems, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the relationships between bones, muscles, joints, and nerves — all critical to effective chiropractic assessment and spinal adjustment.

A deep knowledge of general anatomy is essential in identifying subluxations, understanding posture and biomechanics, and safely performing spinal manipulations. As we explore anatomy from a chiropractic perspective, students will develop the clinical awareness necessary to support patient-centered care grounded in structure-function principles.

This course lays the groundwork for more advanced studies in spinal anatomy, neurology, and chiropractic technique, enabling future practitioners to apply anatomical knowledge with precision, confidence, and care.
